In 2013 NTTCom launched SkyWay, Japan’s first WebRTC platform. To meet the evolving needs of the marketplace, NTTCom has now launched ECLWebRTC, a fully-fledged commercial service based on the technologies used in SkyWay.
Community Edition: Continue to offer free of charge
Start-up enterprises and developers can sign up online for free-of-charge plans (Community Edition) as well as the formerly SkyWay.
In addition to the authentication function which was requested in many cases, MultiParty and SFU which were popular in the provision of trial became easy to use in each SDK as a room function.
Both TURN / SFU can be used limited capacity usage for free of charge. For details, please check the pricing page for more information.
Enterprise Edition: subscription plan
ECLWebRTC will be made available to enterprises via a subscription plan (Enterprise Edition) providing full technical support and a Service Level Agreement offering 99.99% availability.
You can use it without restriction on the number of times of monthly connection and TURN / SFU usage.
About migration to the new SDK
With the addition of the above function and commercial offering, use of new SDK and new registration are required.
